Overview
Odíhg Vānkom was founded durring the early 9th century, by Pana Cox. The establishment of Odíhg Vānkom was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Odíhg Vānkom's construction back out of the project. Pana Cox pushed on reguardles, and Odíhg Vānkom was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.
Odíhg Vānkom was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 9th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Odíhg Vānkom is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.
Odíhg Vānkom is buildings are arranged arround a network of premissive cobblestone streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town rests behind the absurdity that is a thick, timber braced, wall made of clay bricks. While visualy impressive and certainly an astetic, Odíhg Vānkom's wall provides no actual defence against siege equipment due to the choice of its cosntruction materials. Even nonexperts can tell the town is trying to impress rather than defend with its walls, towers, and gatehouses. Though admittedly, they do look nice... To primitive tribals who have never seen fortifications before. The political statment focused walls have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.
A look around Odíhg Vānkom gives the unmistakable impression the town is one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which Odíhg Vānkom brings to mind.
Civic Infrastructure
Odíhg Vānkom has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Odíhg Vānkom. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Odíhg Vānkom's parks.

Odíhg Vānkom has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Odíhg Vānkom's natural decorations nor waterways.

Cultural Notes
Odíhg Vānkom's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its striking sculptural forms and often dazzling ornamental detail that characterizes the buildings general shape. The radiant colors, rich patterns, and symmetrical silhouettes employed by this style were backed up by rich decorative features including gardens, courtyards, extruded arches, domes, pointed domes, vaulted ceilings, elaborate painted and inlaid designs, and decorative sculptures.
In Odíhg Vānkom during thunderstorms, with each flash of lightning, everyone sees different monsters from the corner of their eyes.
The Shredskin near Odíhg Vānkom are known to be quite timid.
Odíhg Vānkom's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves destroying a prepared ritual vessel to channel Transmutation energies of tier 3 via throat chanting.

Points of Interest
Odíhg Vānkom's roads were poorly made when first laid. Rather than repairing them correctly, a series of new roads was laid atop the old, leading to the streets of modern Odíhg Vānkom suffering from potholes, cracking, and even sinkholes. The locals often repair the road by putting down wooden decking.

History
Almost every community has some problem with bandits and highwaymen, but Odíhg Vānkom is seriously plagued with raiders. One or more groups of persistent plunderers are hitting the community repeatedly, and they lack the necessary resources to fend them off or protect all their holdings.
In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century the Kami ended a famine plaguing Odíhg Vānkom. One of Odíhg Vānkom's local festivals commemorates this miracle.
